North Dakota Senior (55+) Accident Prevention Course
Our Accident Prevention Course for Seniors (55+) is approved by the North Dakota Highway Patrol (NDHP).This course is designed to provide a fun, interactive online experience while allowing drivers to refresh their knowledge around safe, defensive driving. Drivers completing this course are eligible for a 5% discount on car insurance for a minimum of 3 years. Please note: While our courses do provide a driver discount, they will not remove points from a driver’s license.
How Our NDHP-Approved Accident Prevention Course Works
While this NDHP-approved accident prevention course contains 4 hours of course materials, drivers are not required to attend a classroom. This 100% online course can be completed from any laptop or mobile device.The final exam requires an 80% accuracy rate to pass, but the course can be taken an unlimited number of times at no additional charge. The course can be taken as many times as necessary over the years to renew existing discounts.
Insurance Discounts and DriveSafeToday’s Accident Prevention Course
The discounts supplied in our Accident Prevention Course can be found in Chapter 26 1-25-04 of the North Dakota legal code, which notes that drivers over 55 who successfully complete a defensive driving course are eligible for a 3-year discount.Upon completion, DriveSafeToday will email a downloadable certificate to graduates. Drivers will need to supply this documentation to their insurance provider to receive their discount.
